Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Search for and identify carriers that are the most well suited to move a particular load
• Convey client requirements and negotiate shipment schedule, terms, and rates
• Create and Manage Load Documents
• Schedule load pickup and delivery times
• Conduct periodic check-ins with carriers to accurately track the movement of the shipment
• Assist management with mitigating claims and other complications
• Vet carriers against minimum standards and complete the necessary contracting
• Build relationships with select carriers to determine specialties and preferences and encourage repeat business

• Can take direction and correction and consistently incorporate it without feeling put down or discouraged
• See failures as a learning experience
• Strong Negotiation Skills
• Strong Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet browsing, email, and understanding file locations
• Strong English communication skills
• Understanding of basic Arithmetic and Geometry
